In Los Angeles, Dillon Brooks is not a popular person. Recently, the Grizzlies forward has been able to annoy just about everyone in the league, and that has carried over into Memphis's series against the Lakers.

After making some provocative remarks about LeBron James after the Grizzlies won Game 2, Brooks received a chilly welcome to Crypto.com Arena ahead of Game 3 on Saturday.

Lakers supporters mocked Brooks while he took some jump shots during warm-ups before the game, cheering for each missed shot. During his pregame warmup, they also jeered whenever he got a pass, giving him a taste of what to expect during Games 3 and 4 in Los Angeles.

The Grizzlies forward tried to provoke a similar argument with LeBron James after a previous dispute with the Warriors’ Draymond Green, but the Lakers star was having none of it.

Brooks said that LeBron was “old” and that he wouldn’t gain his respect until he outscored him by 40 points. Those remarks were made shortly after LeBron scored 28 points in Game 2, including 26 of them with Brooks serving as his main defender.

Because the following two games are scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, Lakers supporters made sure to give Memphis’ contentious forward a proper welcome to the stadium.
